- Magomed Ankalaev defeated Thiago Santos in the main event of the UFC Fight Night 203 this past Saturday, although it wasn’t the most exciting fight, and MMA media and fans were NOT buzzing about it on social media. Although it was a big win over a former title challenger, did Ankalaev’s performance possibly hurt his immediate title aspirations?
- Kayla Harrison officially re-signed with the PFL last week after four-plus months of being a free agent. Bellator made a big push for Harrison’s services, but in the end, the PFL matched that offer and was able to lock her up on a multiyear deal. Let’s hear your take: Do you love it or hate it?
- When former aging title contenders like Thiago Santos, Marlon Moraes and even Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 lose a key fight, are we too quick to dismiss them? Seems like many in MMA media and fans collectively quit on the fighters. Do we pull the trigger too quickly on those narratives that involve retiring or fighters needing to part ways with their respective promotions?
- Henry Cejudo wants to get paid. We all know that. But if he were to agree to terms with the UFC, do you necessarily want to see him vs. Alex Volkanovski and/or Max Holloway going for a third title? Or could bantamweight use another contender now that Aljamain Sterling and Petr Yan are close to their title fight?
- Invicta FC, ONE Championship, Eagle FC, LFA, PFL, and Brave CF were all in action this past week. That’s in addition to the UFC and Bellator holding shows that overlapped on Saturday night. Did we hit our limit in terms of MMA consumption? What did you watch? What draws you? How can these promotions stand out and make sure fans attend in person and/or watch from their homes?
