Video: How do we feel about UFC getting back to more arena shows?

It appears the UFC is back to taking the show on the road more frequently.

Last weekend, the promotion brought its first non-pay-per-view event to an arena for the first time in the U.S. since the beginning of the global pandemic. UFC on ESPN 33 took place at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, and the fans packed the arena with incredible energy.

The week prior, UFC Fight Night 204 took place at The O2 in London, England, creating a deafening atmosphere for the home country fighters who turned in incredible performances.

It appears the promotion is getting back to business as usual before the pandemic led to a wide number of shows taking place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas with very limited crowds. Is there more to the arena shows than just crowds? Was there something special about the Apex events?

Our “Spinning Back Clique” panel of Mike Bohn, Matthew Wells, and Danny Segura discussed the topic with host “Gorgeous” George Garcia. Check out the discussion in the video above.

“Spinning Back Clique” is released each Tuesday on MMA Junkie’s YouTube channel. You can watch the full episode in the video below.
