Bellator 277 pre-event facts: A.J. McKee owns record books at 18-0

Bellator kicks off its busy April schedule on Friday with Bellator 277, which takes place at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif., and airs on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.

A notable lineup of fights is capped off by a championship doubleheader. In the main event, featherweight titleholder A.J. McKee (18-0 MMA, 18-0 BMMA) will seek his first defense against the man he took the belt from this past July in Patricio Freire (32-5 MMA, 20-5 BMMA).

The co-headliner, meanwhile, will see the light heavyweight grand prix come to a conclusion. Champion Vadim Nemkov (14-2 MMA, 7-0 BMMA) will look to end the tournament as he started it – with the belt – when he clashes with Corey Anderson (16-4 MMA, 3-0 BMMA) for the tournament crown.
