Gadzhi Omargadzhiev not feeling any pressure ahead of co-main slot in UFC debut

LAS VEGAS – Gadzhi Omargadzhiev is getting a big spot in his UFC debut, but he’s relishing the opportunity.

Octagon debutants Omargadzhiev (13-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) and Caio Borralho (10-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) square off in Saturday’s UFC on ESPN 34 co-main event, which takes place at the UFC Apex. The main card airs on ESPN and streams on ESPN+ following prelims on ESPN+.

The unbeaten Contender Series graduate says he’s headlined shows before when dominating the regional scene in Russia which has prepped him for a moment like this.

“I didn’t think I would get co-main event, but I’m ready, no pressure,” Omargadzhiev told MMA Junkie and other reporters at Wednesday’s media day. “I will show everybody a good fight because I already fought in main events in other organizations, and I’m ready.”

He continued, “I know everyone will see this fight and I’m ready to show a good fight, and I will make a good statement that I’m here.”
