Linton Vassell wants to continue momentum, make push for another title shot at Bellator 277

SAN JOSE, Calif. – Linton Vassell is not far removed from the roughest stretch of his career. But deep in his career, he’s rolling now.

Vassell had three straight losses, two of which came at light heavyweight to former champions Ryan Bader in a title fight and Phil Davis. He moved to heavyweight and dropped a fight to Valentin Moldavsky in 2019.

But since then, Vassell (22-8 MMA, 10-5 BMMA) has racked up three straight wins ahead dof his fight against Tim Johnson (15-8 MMA, 3-4 BMMA) at Bellator 277. They open the main card at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif. The main card airs on Showtime following prelims on MMA Junkie.

Vassell said he’s ready to keep his momentum going for a fourth straight win, and at 38 he thinks he can make another push for a title.

Check out his full pre-fight media day interview in the video above.
