Drakkar Klose explains fiery callout of Mark Madsen following TKO win at UFC on ESPN 34

LAS VEGAS – Drakkar Klose certainly was feeling it in his UFC return.

Klose picked up a big TKO win on Saturday after being out of action for two years. Klose (12-2-1 MMA, 6-2 UFC) stopped Brandon Jenkins in the second round of their contest at UFC on ESPN 34 at the UFC Apex.

Klose won a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his impressive stoppage and also used his mic time to call for a fight against an unbeaten rising contender.

“I want Mark Madsen,” Klose said in his post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier. “Where you at, boy? Do it for your country. Don’t be a pu**y. Let’s go. … Like I said, I want Mark Madsen. Don’t be a b*tch.”

Speaking to reporters afterward, Klose gave more insight on why he was so adamant in picking a fight with Madsen.

“I don’t like his coach,” Klose told reporters. “He’s a piece of sh*t. He just is.

“He used to be my coach, and I just don’t like him. He’s a scumbag. Any of his guys, I want to fight. If they want, we can line up all their coaches against my coaches and we can have a big royal rumble that night.”

Madsen recently fought at UFC 273, outpointing Vinc Pichel in a unanimous decision. The Olympic silver medalist in wrestling is currently 12-0 in his professional MMA career, with four of those victories in the UFC. Madsen trains out of Fight Ready in Arizona under the tutelage of Henry Cejudo, Eric Albarracin, and others.
