Grant Neal would love to run things back with Alex Polizzi, start a ‘good rivalry’

HONOLULU – Grant Neal wants to avenge the lone loss of his professional MMA career after getting his hand raised at Bellator 278.

Neal (7-1 MMA, 6-1 BMMA) rebounded from a split decision loss to Alex Polizzi last September by defeating Christian Edwards Friday at Neal S. Blaisdell Center.

With Polizzi currently ranked ahead of him in the light heavyweight standings, Neal is certainly interested in a rematch and would make sure the fight doesn’t go to the judges’ scorecards.

“Definitely,” Neal told MMA Junkie and other reporters at the Bellator 278 post-fight press conference. “He was a great competitor, he’s had great fights. That would be an awesome start to hopefully a good rivalry and good battle. I’d love to fight him obviously and get that one back, maybe with some more tenacious attitude and will to finish that fight. Then I don’t have to let it go to the judges.”
