UFC on ESPN 35 post-event facts: Marlon Vera, Rob Font make history in main event

The UFC closed its busy April schedule on Saturday with UFC on ESPN 35, which went down at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and marked the 100th event in the UFC-ESPN relationship.

A monumental event for the promotion got a historic main event. Marlon Vera (19-7-1 MMA, 13-6 UFC) and Rob Font (19-6 MMA, 9-5 UFC) went to battle in the bantamweight headliner, with “Chito” coming out the winner by unanimous decision after taking a record number of shots from his opponent.
