“The Ultimate Fighter” is back for the 30th season of UFC’s storied reality television series.
The first episode of the series, ‘Road to the Rematch’ released on ESPN+ on Tuesday, May 3.
This season, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Julianna Pena and women’s featherweight champion Amanda Nunes coach teams of heavyweights and women’s flyweights competing to make the UFC roster.

The first episode saw the coaches pick their teams and become familiar with their fighters in their first training sessions together. Team Nunes picked the first fighter, therefore Team Pena picked the first matchup. Heavyweights kicked off the season as Pena chose Pauga to face Bartling.
Fight result:
- Zac Pauga def. Nyle Bartling via unanimous decision
Team Pena takes the lead, winning the first fight of the season. On the next episode, women’s flyweights compete in their first bout, selected by Pena.
