UFC on ABC 3 gets Shane Burgos vs. Charles Jourdain featherweight banger

A featherweight banger is headed to Long Island.

Shane Burgos will take on Charles Jourdain at UFC on ABC 3, which takes place July 16 at UBS Arena in Elmont, N.Y.

A person with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie on Thursday but asked to remain anonymous because the promotion has yet to make an official announcement. Eurosport NL was first to report the date of the fight.

Winner of four of his past six, Burgos (13-3 MMA, 6-3 UFC) snapped a two-fight losing skid when he defeated Billy Quarantillo by unanimous decision at UFC 268. The 31-year-old New York native won a “Fight of the Night” bonus in both his past losses to Josh Emmett and Edson Barboza.

Canada’s Jourdain (13-4-1 MMA, 4-3-1 UFC) strung together his first winning streak in the UFC when he defeated Andre Ewell, followed by a first-round submission of Lando Vannata at UFC Fight Night 205 in April.
