Multiple UFC Fight Night bouts shift as September schedule tweaks

A few changes have hit the UFC schedule for September.

A number of bouts scheduled for the UFC Fight Night event on Sept. 10 have moved back one week to Sept. 17. Previously, there was no event scheduled for that date.

Multiple people with knowledge of the changes recently informed MMA Junkie of the promotion’s tweak in plans. However, they asked to remain anonymous as the UFC has yet to make an official announcement.

One source tells MMA Junkie the promotion might be penciling in a previously-unplanned pay-per-view (likely UFC 279) for Sept. 10. It is unclear if that’s the case, or if the UFC is just simply switching a fight weekend with an off-weekend. Regardless, at least six fighters were notified of the new dates.
