• UFC on ESPN 37 in Austin, Texas was an absolute doozy, as unconscious bodies hit the floor left and right. One fight tht didn’t end in a finish however, was the super-technical, close, and somewhat controversial win by Josh Emmett. With his victory over Calvin Kattar, did Emmett do enough to insert himself into the on-deck circle to face the winner of Alexander Volkanovski vs. Max Holloway?
• With so many impressive performances at UFC on ESPN 37, which fighter made the biggest statement to their division?
• The MMA gods giveth and the MMA gods taketh. Sometimes, the MMA gods even taketh twice. Donald Cerrone vs. Joe Lauzon seems cursed to UFC president Dana White, who isn’t interested in rebooking the two vets against one another. But is that the right call? Should the UFC give Cerrone vs. Lauzon another crack?
• Big name free agent pickups haven’t fared well in PFL over the past couple seasons. Should PFL continue to pursue recognizable names? Or does that prove to be a mistake when they come in and lose?
• “The Ultimate Fighter,” Season 30 is underway. While it’s not confirmed the series will be renewed, the buzz about a potential Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Tony Ferguson coaching matchup for “TUF 31” has us thinking: what other coaching options are there? Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson aside, which TUF 31 coaches would you book?
