UFC on ESPN 38 free fight: Arman Tsarukyan mauls Joel Alvarez as blood squirts everywhere

Arman Tsarukyan’s most recent win was as vicious as they come in MMA.

A rising lightweight contender, Tsarukyan added to his momentum in the UFC when he stopped Spain’s Joel Alvarez in dominant and ruthless fashion. Tsarukyan defeated Alvarez at UFC Fight Night 202 back in February, picking up a second-round TKO win.

It was a one-sided affair. Tsarukyan took down Alvarez and poured down intense ground-and-pound until the referee decided he saw enough. Alvarez suffered one of the most horrific cuts seen in the UFC cage and as blood squirted from the bridge of his nose.

Tsarukyan returns to the octagon this Saturday, as he headlines UFC on ESPN 38 in Las Vegas. The 25-year-old takes on Mateusz Gamrot (20-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC).

Tsarukyan is on a roll since he dropped his promotional debut to Islam Makhachev in April 2019. The 25-year-old has won five in a row and most recently scored back-to-back finishes of Christos Giagos and Alvarez.
