Rae Yoon Ok vs. Christian Lee rematch set for ONE Championship 160 main event
A pair of titles will be on the line for ONE Championship next month.
ONE Championship 160 is set for Aug. 26 at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Singapore, and the promotion has a new main event. Lightweight champion Rae Yoon Ok (16-3) will take on former champ Christian Lee (15-4) in a rematch, ONE announced this week.
The previously announced headliner for the card between featherweight titleholder Thanh Le (13-2) and challenger Tang Kai (14-2) will remain on the card in the co-main event.
Ok and Lee fought in September 2021 in Singapore, where Ok took Lee’s title with a unanimous decision. Ok ran his winning streak to five, including victories over former ONE champion Marat Gafurov and ex-UFC and Bellator champ Eddie Alvarez in his first two appearances for the promotion. Lee had a six-fight winning streak snapped with his loss to Ok, but now he gets a chance reclaim the title 11 months after he lost it.
Featherweight champ Le comes into his title defense against Kai with a five-fight winning streak. In March, he finished Garry Tonon with a TKO in less than a minute. He won the belt with a third-round knockout of Martin Nguyen in October 2020. His win over Tonon was his first title defense.
Tang is on a nine-fight winning streak and hasn’t lost in more than five years. He has gone 6-0 under the ONE banner. He has three straight first-round knockout wins, including a March stoppage of Jae Woong Kim.
