PFL Europe announced for 2023 with qualifier fights set for London and Wales in August

After several successful seasons in the U.S., the Professional Fighters League will branch out into Europe next year.

The PFL will hold two of its three 2022 playoff events in the United Kingdom next month with cards in London and Cardiff, Wales. And those events will serve as qualifiers for prospects for the 2023 PFL Europe season, the promotion announced this week.

PFL Europe events will take place around the continent and will be broadcast and streamed live in prime time. PFL Europe will operate in much the same way as the PFL’s Stateside format – with regular season fights leading to points to qualify for the playoffs.

“Europe is rich with top fighters who are ready to compete in the PFL’s season format on a major stage and passionate MMA fans throughout the region will now have access to premium events staged in Europe,” PFL CEO Peter Murray stated.

Several key European prospects are set for qualifier fights, including England’s Dakota Ditcheva and Ireland’s Will Fleury.

The PFL Europe qualifier fights set for the cards in Cardiff and London include:

Cardiff (Aug. 13)

  • Kenneth Bergh (Norway) vs. Will Fleury (Ireland)
  • Nathan Kelly (Ireland) vs. TBA
  • Vojto Barborik (Slovakia) vs. Radu Maxim (Italy)
  • Mokhtar Benkaci (France) vs. Francesco Nuzzi (Italy)
