UFC on ABC 3 weigh-in video: Brian Ortega, Yair Rodriguez hit mark for main event

UNIONDALE, N.Y. – The featherweight headliner for UFC on ABC 3 is official after Brian Ortega and Yair Rodriguez made weight on Friday.

Ahead of Saturday’s main event as USB Arena on Long Island, Ortega (15-2 MMA, 7-2 UFC) and Rodriguez (13-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC)) stepped on the scale without issue at official weigh-ins.

Ortega registered at 146 pounds, while Rodriguez tipped the scale at 145.4 pounds.

Both men enter the fight coming off losses and look to enter title territory with a win. Ortega, No. 5 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMA Junkie featherweight rankings, returns for the first time since his loss to champ Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 266 in September. No. 14-ranked Rodriguez, meanwhile, attempts to rally from a thrilling defeat to Max Holloway at UFC Fight Night 197 in November.
