‘Rampage’ Jackson still has some fight left in him: ‘I’m not done’

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson hasn’t fought since December 2019, but says that he’s not done fighting.

“I’m not done. I’m not happy with my performance my last fight,” Jackson told TMZ Sports. “I can’t leave the MMA fans like that.”

Jackson was stopped in the first round by Fedor Emelianenko in his last fight at Bellator 237. The bout took place in the heavyweight division and Jackson was clearly out of shape.

“I want to leave the sport a little better,” he said. By the sport, Jackson meant combat sports and not necessarily mixed martial arts.

“I want to do some boxing before I retire,” Jackson said. “I might to MMA, but I want to do boxing. I’m getting up there. I’m 44 now. I’m getting up there. My knees in wrestling. When you do MMA, a lot of guys want to take you down. They want to wrestle you.”
