UFC adds Josh Parisian vs. Chase Sherman to Nov. 5 lineup
Heavyweights Josh Parisian and Chase Sherman will clash in November.
Parisian (15-5 MMA, 2-2 UFC) faces Sherman (16-10 MMA, 4-9 UFC) at a UFC Fight Night event on Nov. 5, which takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Two people with knowledge of the booking informed MMA Junkie of the matchup Monday but asked to remain anonymous since the promotion has yet to make an official announcement.
Parisian has split his first four UFC appearances. The Dana White’s Contender Series graduate got back in the win column when he stopped Alan Baudot by second-round TKO at UFC on ESPN 38 in June. The finish earned him a Performance of the Night bonus.
Meanwhile, Sherman notched a much-needed victory when he scored a bonus-winning TKO of Jared Vanderaa at UFC on ESPN 39 in July. The win snapped his four-fight losing skid.
With the addition, the Nov. 5 UFC Fight Night lineup includes:
