UFC 280 video: Charles Oliveira vs. Islam Makhachev press conference faceoff

ABU DHABI – The UFC 280 pre-fight news conference took place Thursday with the lightweight title matchup at the top of the bill.

Former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira (33-8 MMA, 21-8 UFC), who was stripped of the belt when he missed weight earlier this year, takes on Islam Makhachev (22-1 MMA, 11-1 UFC) for the vacant title.

At the conclusion of the festivities, Oliveira and Makhachev faced off ahead of their headliner. Check out the video of their staredown above.

UFC 280 takes place Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPNews and ESPN+.
