Hi r/MMA! I’m Ryan Ventura and I’m a professional ring announcer. I’m doing an AMA at 3pm PST / 6PM EST.

Hi everyone in the r/MMA Subreddit! One of you (me) has been assigned to introduce the athletes for this Saturday’s MF & DAZN X SERIES 003 card here in Austin, Texas. And to celebrate this big milestone in my ring announcing career, I’m doing an AMA at r/MMA today at 3pm PST / 6PM EST.

In case you’ve never heard of me, I’ve been on this journey of being a professional ring announcer for over 11 years. I’m from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

I’m the long time voice of the Battlefield Fight League which can be seen on UFC Fight Pass.

I’m the youngest announcer to ever be lisenced in the state of Nevada when I worked a cross promotional event for Tuff-N-Uff / Z Promotions in 2018 (I was 30 at the time).

And I’ve been seen on FITE TV and The Fight Network as well.

Outside of announcing, I’ve been a life long die hard fan of combat sports. I grew up and still actively follow boxing. I watched the first UFC in 1993 when I was only 7 years old and I’ve been hooked to this day. And I’ve been actively following the great sport of kickboxing since 1999 when I was only 10. I’ve had my fill of watching fights over the years and my passion for it has not at all diminished. And I think it shows in my introductions. I’m also a long time student of Martial Arts having trained kickboxing / Muay Thai since I was 18. I dabble a bit in nogi grappling, specifically Catch Wrestling. But I’m not an expert at either, mainly a hardcore hobbiest.

Hope to see you all at the r/MMA Subreddit. Let them questions fly!
