Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor didn’t appreciate the recent comments made by light heavyweight Anthony Smith about his USADA testing.
Smith voiced concern about McGregor being out of the USADA testing pool and made some allegations about “The Notorious.”
“There’s only one reason you would do that. He’s looking jacked as shit. You keep seeing videos of him flexing in front of mirrors and screaming and he’s huge. He healed really fast. Like, really fast,” Smith said on the Believe You Me podcast.
McGregor has’t fought since suffering a broken leg in July 2021 in his trilogy match against Dustin Poirier in the UFC 264 main event. Smith compared McGregor’s recovery to others’ that have suffered the same type of leg injury. He then accused McGregor of ‘juicing.’
“(Chris) Weidman still hasn’t (from his broken leg). I talked to Weidman today. He’s still having struggles. He’s still struggling to get back. Anderson (Silva) took a long time. Corey Hill took a long time,” Smith said.
“Anybody who’s broken their leg has taken a long time,” continued Smith. “He’s seemingly pretty healed up. It just bugs me that he gets to jump out of the pool, juice up on whatever he’s juiced on, and then just jump back in the pool and no one’s going to say shit about it?
“I don’t know. It’s weird. It bothers me.”
McGregor was furious with Smith’s comments and responded with a series of social media posts directed toward “Lionheart.”

He, like many other rats in my game, would be happier if I wasn’t able to play with my children the same again,” McGregor wrote on Twitter.
In a follow-up Tweet, McGregor continued to criticized ‘loser’ Smith, and claimed to be the ‘most tested fighter all time.’
“The audacity of this loser @lionheartasmith you’re a loser,” McGregor wrote. “The % of the bones joining back after a break like this is so low. You think I give a fuck about anything else. I am the most tested fighter all time in combat sport. I give everything to this game. You – Nothing!”

Smith last fought at UFC 277, losing to Magomed Ankalaev by TKO. He suffered a broken ankle in the fight, and McGregor pointed that out.
