The UFC fans were delivered a treat in the UFC Orlando main event when Stephen Thompson and Kevin Holland delivered a Fight of the Year performance.
The fight was an intense back-and-forth with both men having near-knockout moments. But at some point in the fight Holland injured his hand and was unable to strike back.
At the end of the fourth round, Thompson dropped Holland but wasn’t able to get the finish before the bell. But it didn’t matter because Holland’s team threw in the towel and stopped the fight before sending Holland back in for round dive.
“The guys got reach for days,” Thompson said after the fight.
Holland told Daniel Cormier of his hand “I think I hurt it in the first round,” he said.
