Jorge Masvidal says he pitched Gamebred Boxing to former UFC opponent Darren Till

Jorge Masvidal is interested in doing business with Darren Till.

Till amicably parted ways with the UFC in February after he requested his release. The 30-year-old said he received numerous offers since becoming a free agent, and Masvidal said he was one of them.

“We reached out to Darren, actually,” Masvidal said on Michael Bisping’s YouTube channel. “I don’t know who his next immediate matchup is, but we would definitely love to book Darren in some boxing. I know he’s a hell of a competitor, like myself, from first-hand experience. I would love to 100 percent get Darren to work with us in some way and capacity.”

Till teased a big announcement to come in relation to boxing, but didn’t mention any details of where he’s headed. Masvidal recently held his fourth show for Gamebred Boxing, which featured some notable MMA names like former UFC champions Anthony Pettis, Vitor Belfort and Jose Aldo – and he’d like to add Till to his roster.

Masvidal (35-16 MMA, 12-9 UFC) and Till shared the octagon in March 2019 in London, where Masvidal returned to upset the former title challenger by knockout. That kicked off an incredible 2019 for “Gamebred,” who went on to score a record-setting 5-second knockout of Ben Askren and a TKO of Nate Diaz to capture the UFC’s one-time-only “BMF” belt.

But now, Masvidal finds himself on a three-fight losing skid. He will look to rebound when he faces Gilbert Burns in Saturday’s UFC 287 welterweight co-main event at Kaseya Center in Miami. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and early prelims on ESPN+.
