Fun Fact: Charles Oliveira has lost every fight he’s had in Canada.

Since Charles and Beniel are fighting it out in Vancouver now, I thought to look at their track records on Canadian cards. Beniel has never fought in Canada, but Charles is surprisingly 0-4 in all 4 of his Bouts in Canada.

-His first loss was in Montreal when he lost his 0 by getting kneebarred by Jim Miller.

-Then there was that weird knock out loss to Cub Swanson in Toronto. Charles also missed weight for this fight.

-Next was his first Main Event spot against Max Holloway in Saskatoon. He proceeded to somehow tear his esophagus, technically counting as a loss.

-Oliveira’s most recent outing in Canada was against Anthony Pettis in the latter’s Featherweight debut. Coincidentally, this fight would also be in Vancouver. Pettis would submit Charles via 3rd round Guillotine Choke.

I don’t know what conclusions you want to make out of this weird set of coincidences, but apparently Canada doesn’t take too kindly to Charlie Olives.
