Francis Ngannou to make windfall in Tyson Fury fight, according to manager

Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou is about to get paid a lot of money from his upcoming boxing match against Tyson Fury.

Ngannou’s manager, Marquel Martin, said that Ngannou would had to have fought multiple times as the UFC champion to earn the windfall that he’s going to get for facing Fury in on Oct. 28 in Saudi Arabia.  

“Let’s just say that the bag is so big that he’ll drop it on the way to the bank,” Martin said during an appearance on The MMA Hour.  “This is life-changing.  This is exactly what we planned and visualized.  We’re happy.”

Martin didn’t put an exact figure of what Ngannou will be earning but he did compare it to what he would have made in the UFC instead.

When asked by host Ariel Helwani, Martin said Ngannou will make “By far” more than he did in all of his UFC fights combined.  “Multiple; by multiple.,” he said.  

“He would have had to fight – I’ll say this.  Just to make, even while being champion, he would to have to fight multiple times.”
