UFC free fight: Tom Aspinall shows off hand speed, quickly stopping Serghei Spivac in first-round TKO

Tom Aspinall has plenty of promise in the UFC’s heavyweight division.

The English fighter has impressed many in his run through the division in the past couple of years. In this impressive start, one of his most convincing wins came against Sergey Spivak back at UFC Fight Night 204 in September 2021. Aspinall showed off his incredible hand speed to quickly put away the Moldovan fighter in less than three minutes.

Aspinall returns to the octagon this Saturday in the main event of UFC Fight Night 224 at The O2 in London. He takes on veteran Marcin Tybura in a key heavyweight bout.

Aspinall (12-3 MMA, 5-1 UFC) is coming off his first defeat in the octagon, where he suffered a knee injury 15 seconds into his fight with Curtis Blaydes last July in London. Aspinall required surgery and rehab, but he’s now fully fit to compete. Prior to the knee injury, Aspinall was on an eight-fight winning streak.

Tybura (24-7 MMA, 11-6 UFC) is arguably on his best career form. The Polish fighter is 7-1 in his past eight bouts and has defeated notable names such as Ben Rothwell, Greg Hardy, Blagoy Ivanov, Walt Harris and others. His lone defeat came in 2021 against Russia’s Alexander Volkov.
