Watch Alex Pereira knockout Sean Strickland when they two fought on the UFC 276 main card in July 2022.  It was the win that earned Pereira a title shot against Israel Adesanya.  He defeated “The Last Stylebender” to capture the 185-pound championship.  He was knocked out by Adesanya in the rematch.

Following the loss to Adesanya, Pereira moved up to the light heavyweight division.  He makes his 205-pound promotional debut in the UFC 291 co-main event against former champion Jan Blachowicz.
