Dustin Poirier heartbroken, searching following UFC 291 loss to Justin Gaethje

Dustin Poirier readily admits that he has already won at life. He has nothing to be ashamed of and keeps his career in perspective. But following his loss to Justin Gaethje at UFC 291, he couldn’t help but to be heartbroken.

In Poirier’s UFC 291 post-fight press conference interview, he sounded unsure of what’s next. There is, of course, the prospect of a rubber match with Gaethje now that they are one to one in their rivalry.

But outside of UFC gold and perhaps Gaethje, there isn’t a lot on the horizon that excites Poirier.
