Dana White: UFC Will Always be Nate Diaz’s House

On Saturday, after being defeated by Jake Paul, Nate Diaz revealed his thoughts on the UFC and expressed his positive feelings about the promotion.

He also said a return to the Octagon wasn’t out of the question for himself.

On Tuesday, following the conclusion of the DWCS week 1, White responded to those comments.

“Well, we feel the same way about Nate. Always have. I’ve always joked around about dealing with the Diaz brothers, but these two. You see it now. I mean, they’re two iconic fighters that 20 years from now, everybody will remember and talk about, and this will always be Nate’s house.””Nate grew up here. He came in on The Ultimate Fighter. He fought some of the biggest fights ever here. And we love the kid. I don’t know about fighting in the future, but this is always gonna to be his house, and you know, we’ll see.”

Another thing that White addressed was the guillotine attempt that Diaz threw in the final moments of the fight with Paul.

“I saw it on the Internet, yeah,” White said. “For a kid pushing 40 years old, fighting a guy four weight classes bigger than him in boxing and two in MMA and going the distance, you know what I mean?”

And, even though Diaz lost, White still saw the positives in the fight.

“At his age, against a f***ing 20-something-year-old kid, so far he’s fared the best out of everybody. He looked good. I’m happy for him,” he said.

The pair are meant to fight in MMA next, likely under the PFL banner as Paul is signed there. But, who knows if we ever see them run it back.
