Cedric Doumbe makes 9-second knockout debut at PFL Paris

Cedric Doumbe made one heck of a debut in the main event at PFL Paris on Saturday. Just nine seconds into his fight with Jordan Zebo he landed a flurry that stunned and dropped Zebo in just nine seconds. 

The card, which was serving the PFL European Playoffs, was lackluster up until the last few match-ups when the Paris crowd came alive with three back-to-back finishes. 

Moments before securing his win, Doumbe walked to the cage with a mattress with “goodnight Jordan” written across it in French, a premonition of what was to come. 

“That’s one of my best preparations that I ever did in combat sports,” Doumbe said after the win. “I feel in shape. Everything was settled to knock him out. I knew I would knock him out. That’s what I expected.

“This is my specialty, I’m a kickboxer. He just came into it and that was easy.”

After the win he was asked who he wanted next. 

“I never decline a fight,” Doumbe said. “Anyone. I never have to call out anybody because I’m the best.”
