Bobby Green believes Jake Paul vs. Nate Diaz was ‘Staged’

Lightweight Bobby Green faces Grant Dawson in the UFC Vegas 80 main event at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday.  Dawson enters the bout ranked tenth in the division while Green is just outside the rankings.

On Wednesday, while taking questions during ‘media day,’ Green levied a hefty allegation.

“Nate vs. Jake?  Staged.” Green said.  “What do you expect when you’re fighting that high up?  These guys have all the right things in favor for them.  Everything is in their favor.  It’s supposed to go that way.”

Geen is coming off a win over Tony Ferguson in his last outing in July and had mixed feelings after defeating the veteran in the sport.

We’re the old guys.  We’re the legends.

“I feel like two legends fought each other and now I’m the last of a dying breed,” Green said about defeating Ferguson.  “Everyone’s gone.  Nate’s [Diaz] gone.  Jorge’s [Masvidal] gone.  I’m the last of the OGs.”

“I do care (about another fighter’s career) because we’re the old guys.  We’re the legends.  You want to always see room for them.  You want to always see them be good.  I love Tony, and it was hard for me to fighting him because everywhere I went somebody told me, ‘that’s my favorite fighter.’  ‘I really love you Bob, but I love him more.’  I sucked to have to fight that guy, but I want to see him go.  I want to see him positive.  I want to see him win.  I want to see him do all the great things that he deserves.”
