Conor McGregor submitted paperwork to re-entering the USADA testing pool

Former two-division champion Conor McGregor indicated, in his own way, that he had re-entered the USADA testing pool making the planned fight with Michael Chandler possible in April.

McGregor posted an update to his Instagram account stating that he submitted paperwork to UFC senior vice president of athlete health and performance Jeff Novitzky.  Novitzky oversees the fight promotion’s anti-doping policy.

McGregor had dropped out of the testing pool to recover from a broken leg suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

Traditionally an athlete re-entering the testing pool has to be available for testing for six months before having a fight.  We’ll see what happens with McGregor.

“Find my targets. Hit them. F**k the consequences,” McGregor wrote on Instagram.  “You’re going down. This is fighting. Sparring day with slick Nikolay Grozdev. Always a banger of a spar with the slick fella.  Submitted my stuff to [Jeff] Novitzky. Ball rolling. See you soon you little light work b**ch.”

McGregor and Michael Chandler are expected to face-off at some point.  The two coached The Ultimate Fighter 31, but this is the first time McGregor has confirmed that he’s submitted his paperwork.
