Alexander Volkanovski vs. Ilia Topuria set for UFC 297
A featherweight title fight between champion Alexander Volkanovski and Ilia Topuria takes place on Jan. 20 at UFC 297.
Volkanovski (26-6) finished Yair Rodriguez in last outing at UFC 290 in July. He’s successfully defended the title five times and considered by some to be the top pound-for-pound fighter in the world. Topuria (14-0) is ranked fifth in the 145-pound division. He’s coming off an unanimous decision win over Josh Emmett in his last fight in June.
Ilia Topuria said his next fight will be at UFC 297 on January 20th against Alexander Volkanovski for the belt
