Dana White torches USADA CEO – “This guy went full Britney Spears and lost his mind”

If you get on Dana White‘s bad side, he will stop at nothing to make life miserable for you and that’s been seen on multiple occasions in the past. The latest person to upset the UFC boss was the United States Anti-Doping Agency’s CEO.

News recently broke that USADA will no longer be working with the UFC from 2024 onwards and that didn’t go down well with the anti-doping company’s Chief Executive Officer, Travis Tygart. The 52-year-old is best known for playing a leading role in the infamous Lance Armstrong scandal and his attempts to keep sports clean from cheaters.

Tygart made a revealing statement following USADA’s UFC departure but his words weren’t appreciated by Dana White. The Floridian made some wild comments that White has now responded to during a recent media scrum.

“I summed it up yesterday in one word. Scumbag.” Said White. “Listen, it is what it is. They did what they did and think about this. They’re in a business where they’re looking to bring other sports leagues in. They were with us for eight years, we helped put them on the map [and] they helped us build an incredible program.”

“This is how you’re going to end your relationship with us. Who else would want to do business with these guys after that? Not me. It doesn’t matter to me. We’re moving on and good luck to them.”

Dana White continued in his tirade towards the USADA CEO. When asked to comment further, the 54-year-old compared Travis Tygart to Brittney Spears, insisting the future may not be so bright for him.

“Listen, this guy went full Brittney Spears and lost his mind. Get ready; you’re probably going to see this guy on Instagram dancing with knives. Probably within the next two weeks, or something. You know, he went nuts. He lost his mind and it is what it is. It’s whatever.”

Since their eight-year relationship came to an end, the UFC has eyed a new anti-drug organization. It was revealed that the MMA promotion would be working with Drug Free Sport International—best known for their work with NBA, WNBA, NFL, MLB, and the NCAA—starting next year.
