The UFC 294 fight card went through a late shakeup when headliner Charles Oliveira was forced out of his rematch with Makhachev due to a nasty cut and Paulo Costa was removed from his co-main event slot against Chimaev after having surgery weeks before the event.
In true warrior spirit featherweight champion Volkanovski stepped in to face Makhachev in a rematch and former welterweight titleholder Usman agreed to take on Chimaev on late notice.
UFC 294 takes place on Saturday at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The event will mark the fight promotion’s 18th event at the venue.
