Brendan Schaub Believes Francis Ngannou would knock Jon Jones out

Francis Ngannou’s split decision loss to Tyson Fury in his boxing debut has Brendan Schaub thinking that “The Predator” would knockout UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

“To piggyback on what DC (Daniel Cormier) said, and DC knows tough men, DC said bar none, Francis Ngannou is the baddest man on the planet.  Who’s going to beat him, Jon Jones,” said Schaub on his YouTube channel.   “I’m on record saying this: I thought Jon Jones would smoke Francis after watching him do what he did against Ciryl Gane. Watching Francis vs. Fury, I’m like, ‘Oh, he’d beat Jon.’ He’d beat Jon in MMA. I think he knocks him out.

“I didn’t realize how good he was. I knew he was good, but I didn’t realize he was this talented. I knew he was a freak athletically, but I didn’t know he was world-class-boxing-beat-the-breaks-off-the-greatest-of-all-time good. Who did? This is nuts.”

When Ngannou was in the UFC, the fight promotion tried to put together a bout between Ngannou and Jones.  The fight never came to fruition due to Ngannou’s failed contract negotiations and departure from the organization.  Ngannou is now signed with the PFL and has a boxing career ahead of him.

The controversial loss to Fury has turned people’s opinion of Ngannou around.  Most “experts” expected Ngannou to lose to Gane.  Almost no one game him a legitimate chance of beating Fury.
