Jalin Turner (13-7) is stepping up.

News broke earlier this week (Tues., Nov. 21, 2023) that Lightweight contender, Dan Hooker, was forced out of his UFC Austin co-main event bout with Bobby Green (31-14, 1 no contest) due to an arm injury. UFC CEO, Dana White, revealed today (Thurs., Nov. 23, 2023) that Green will remain on the card and take on Turner in a three-round affair.

Turner, 28, will look to get back on track in his short-notice opportunity. Last competing at UFC 290 in July 2023, Turner fell short against the injured Hooker, losing a hard-fought split decision, breaking Hooker’s arm in the process. Before that, Turner dropped a unanimous decision to Mateusz Gamrot in March 2023, snapping his five-fight winning streak.

Green, on the other hand, will get the chance to keep his momentum going and extend his current streak to three in a row. “King’s” most recent victories saw him finish the likes of Tony Ferguson by submission (watch highlights) and Grant Dawson in just 33 seconds by knockout (watch highlights).
