UFC fighters can double their paycheck with a win … and female UFC fighters can seemingly double that amount again with an OnlyFans account.

Is Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) pay terrible or does OnlyFans pay a lot?

It’s probably a little of Column A and a little of Column B when it comes to fighter Ailin Perez, who is now 2-1 UFC (9-2 MMA) after defeating Lucie Pudilova at UFC Vegas 82 this past weekend (Nov. 18, 2023) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Perez celebrated the win by twerking in the cage (watch it here), a moment that went viral on the Internet. That visibility generated a lot of attention for her OnlyFans, resulting in her earning more from the adult-oriented social media site than from her fight winnings.

And she’s not alone.

“Since [this past] Thursday to now, it’s been over $30,000,” Perez said on The MMA Hour via an interpreter.

Note that Perez is on a $12k/$12k contract, meaning she’s made at least $6,000 more off OnlyFans in one week than she did preparing for and competing in her latest UFC fight.

“I take advantage of the OnlyFans, because that’s where I’m [making] my money,” she added. “With the money I got from OnlyFans, I was able to buy a car. I’m in the UFC because I love to fight. This is the challenge that I’ve put forth for myself in my life, and I’m fighting in the UFC because I love it.

“But, I’m [making] the money I have on OnlyFans,” she concluded.

Perez isn’t the first UFC fighter to reveal the messed up financial incentives a woman has to use OnlyFans to supplement their income. Paige VanZant made it clear that UFC pay doesn’t even come close to touching OnlyFans money. Over a dozen other WMMA fighters have pages, and many of them credit the site with keeping their heads above water in the tough economic world of combat sports.

In this case, Perez leveraged UFC’s platform to push her OnlyFans account, which doubled her income off this last fight. That’s an effective bit of promotional synergy, even though it’s sad an athlete in a top league like UFC needs to do it to make a decent living.

It’s not all sunshine and rainbows, though.
