Gasbag Gordo Wants Your Undying Thanks

Abu Dhabi Combat Club (ADCC) recently announced its 2024 World Championships for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Sat., Aug. 17 and Sun. Aug. 18, and tickets are selling like hotcakes. That’s according to no-gi phenom Gordon Ryan, who claims the pre-sale generated over $2 million in ticket sales within the first hour.

“Thank me now,” Ryan wrote in the caption of his Instagram post.

ADCC organizers recently put pen to paper for a two-year deal with the UFC Fight Pass digital network, streaming more than 40 grappling events through 2024 including the ADCC Opens, Trials, and Championship Finals in Las Vegas. Ryan is expected to headline against reigning ADCC absolute champion Yuri Simoes.

“We just brought the world’s biggest Jiu Jitsu event to the world’s most prominent combat platform,” Ryan said on social media. “With the support of the UFC and UFC Fight Pass, this is now a mainstream sport. My vision for jiu jitsu is finally materializing and it makes me happier than just about anything. We will make ADCC 2024 the biggest one in history, that’s a promise.”
