PFL free fight: Jesus Pinedo pulls off huge upset with first-round KO of Brendan Loughnane

Jesus Pinedo’s ticket to the 2023 PFL playoffs came in dramatic fashion.

After a loss in his first fight of the regular season, Pinedo entered 2023 PFL 4 in June in need of a first-round finish in order to qualify for the playoffs. On top of that, he faced none other than Brendan Loughnane, who was off an impressive stoppage win over Marlon Moraes and was the champion of the 2022 season.

Despite the odds, the Peruvian knocked out Loughnane in brutal fashion in less than two minutes. It was a big shock for the MMA world. You can watch Pinedo’s impressive win in the video above.

Pinedo (22-6-1)  returns this Friday at 2023 PFL Championship at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. He takes on Gabriel Braga (12-0) in a rematch that will settle who is the 2023 PFL featherweight champion and who will take the $1 million prize.
