Highlights! Undefeated Champion Skye Nicolson Shines With First-Career KO

Undefeated rising boxing star Skye Nicolson captured the biggest win of her professional career earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 25, 2023) live on DAZN from inside 3Arena in Dublin, Ireland, when the 28-year-old put a stop to Lucy Wildheart via ninth-round TKO to defend her WBC interim Featherweight title.

Nicolson, who is one of Matchroom Boxing’s most prized possessions, has been steadily climbing the women’s boxing ranks over the past two years, The Australian southpaw has fought eight times since turning pro back in March 2022 and brought an 8-0 record with her into Saturday’s title fight. Nicolson was the betting favorite to take care of business, but you never really know how a young fighter will perform when the lights shine brightest.

As many expected, Nicolson handled the moment with class and poise. She battered Wildheart from the opening round and simply had her way throughout the fight. In the ninth round, Nicolson turned the pressure up and connected on a flurry of punches inside that finally put an end to her opponent. It was the first stoppage of Nicolson’s career and her first official title defense.
