Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill was arrested earlier this week in Michigan and charged with one count of misdemeanor aggravated domestic violence. Hill is accused of assaulting his brother, James Anthony Hill, allegedly inflicting “serious or aggravated injury upon him.”

That’s according to a report from TMZ Sports.

Hill, 32, was booked on early Monday morning and released from county jail the same evening. “Sweet Dreams” is expected to return to court in January to answer for his charges.

As of this writing, neither Hill nor UFC have commented on the arrest; however, a statement is likely at some point over the next few days.

Hill (12-1, 1 NC) was forced to relinquish his 205-pound title after tearing his achilles tendon back in July and is tentatively scheduled to fight newly-crowned light heavyweight kingpin Alex Pereira at some point in early 2024. That said, it is not yet known how this latest incident will affect those plans, if at all.

Stay tuned.
