Mike Perry will return to action this Saturday night (Dec. 2, 2023) to face off against former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Lightweight champion, Eddie Alvarez, in the main event of BKFC 56 live from inside Maverik Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, streaming live on FITE.tv.

The two men — who will be fighting for the “King of Violence” title — have been going at it in the media when comparing their respective street-fighting credentials.

“Come on, man. We all saw Jersey Shore, bro,” Perry told MMAMania.com in regard to Alvarez’s street-fighting history. “We all saw Ronnie and Pauly D, and Mike [The Situation], out there in the Jersey Shore. They weren’t really fighting out there, bro. Not like this. Not like that. So, you know, Eddie, listen, the main point is, I am in no way just a fighter of a guy on the street.

“That’s totally different, bro,” Perry continued. “I end those in like 10 seconds. Those are over quick. And you know, I’m out of there. So, for this one, I’m going to try to do that. I guess I’m going to try to get him up out of there. And it’s easy work, bro.”

Alvarez is coming off a decision victory over Chad Mendes in his bareknuckle debut at BKFC 41, and is hoping to go two-for-two with the promotion, while upping his stock by taking out BKFC’s popular poster boy.
