Jorge Masvidal wants to fight ‘cupcake’ Colby Covington in his own bareknuckle fight promotion

Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington are mortal enemies at this point.  The two can not stand one another and they tell whoever will listen about their distain for the other.

They’ve fought inside the octagon and had a scuffle outside of the cage.  When the fought at UFC 272, Covington won via unanimous decision.  Two weeks later, Masvidal caught up to Covington in a Miami restaurant and laid some hands on “Chaos.”  The incident landed Masvidal in jail briefly and charged with three felonies.  He’s since resolved the situation in court pleading guilty to a lesser charge and two felony charges were dropped.

Masvidal owns and runs Gamebred bareknuckle MMA.  In an interview with SportingNews, Masvidal said that he’d like to fight Covington in his promotion.

“If it were bareknuckle and just one fight it would be Colby Covington’s cupcake b**ch a**,” Masvidal answered when questions who he’d fight in his own promotion.

“I’d break every bone in his f**king face,” Masvidal continued.  “It would be my one fight though because my hands, I don’t have the best hand so it would be my one and done fight.

“I’d bring him over to my promotion and just f**king dog him.  Just pop, over and over until some man has to pull me off of him.  Other than that, whoever would get me the biggest check.”

While Masvidal is retired, Covington fights for the welterweight title this weekend in the UFC 296 main event against champion Leon Edwards.  Covington’s last fight was against Masvidal nearly two years ago.

Leading up to the fight with Edwards, Covington has been asked about Masvidal in at least half of his interviews.  He never passes up an opportunity to talk trash about Masvidal and Masvidal can’t resist throwing verbal jabs at the third ranked welterweight contender whenever he gets the chance.

When the two fought at UFC 272, Covington dominated “Gamebred,” but bareknuckle fighting is a different game.
