Albert Tumenov still carries tremendous power in his hands, even late in fights, and showed it again at ACA 168.

Tumenov (24-4) vacated the ACA welterweight title in December 2019 to explore other opportunities in the combat sports space. He’s fought a few times for the promotion in recent years, but this past weekend came back to reclaim the belt that was once his.

“Einstein” delivered an electric knockout of Ustarmagomed Gadzhidaudov (17-6) in the fifth round of their headlining bout at CSKA Arena in Moscow, to begin his second reign as 170-pound champion.

Both men had some moments throughout the contest, but Tumenov had the better conditioning late. That allowed him to stun Gadzhidaudov with a hard punch that put him to a knee, before unloading with one more gigantic shot that folded his foe backward and slumped him into the canvas at the 4:53 mark of Round 5.

Tumenov, 32, is now 8-0 since his final UFC appearance in October 2016, which was a third-round submission loss to now-UFC champion Leon Edwards.
