Sean O’Malley believes he’s going to be the next Conor McGregor and he’s willing to put his money where his mouth is.

The undisputed UFC bantamweight champion has been wrapped up in war of words with undefeated UFC featherweight contender Ilia Topuria and is now offering “El Matador” a chance to make some extra cash. This comes after Topuria suggested that O’Malley be demoted to the “Prelims” because of his recent PPV numbers.

“I offered to fight you but the UFC told me that you are only good for fighting in teenagers’ places, because that’s your only fan base,” Topuria recently wrote on Twitter. “Our fight will never happen. After fighting Volk I will fight Conor [McGregor] and you will come as a fan boy. After seeing your PPV numbers the only thing I can offer you is that you fight in the preliminaries of my card.”

O’Malley, who is coming off a spectacular knockout win over Aljamain Sterling last August to claim the UFC bantamweight title, wasted little time in responding to Topuria. In fact, O’Malley took to social media to lay down a $100,000 wager to see who produces better PPV numbers for their next bouts.

Remember, Topuria is set to fight UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 this February as O’Malley defends his belt against Marlon Vera in a rematch at UFC 299 in March.

“Couple things here.

“1st. Teenagers places? No understando.

“2nd. Let’s make a bet on PPV numbers. 100k cash whoever’s PPV is bigger. If you don’t have 100k that’s fine you can do 4 payments of 25k.

“3rd. Conor doesn’t know who you are.”

Topuria, who is 6-0 inside of the Octagon since making his debut back in 2020, wanted no part of O’Malley’s side bet. In fact, Topuria declared himself the “PPV king” despite competing on just one PPV main card during his UFC tenure. Check out Topuria’s response below:

“I can’t care less about you kid. Now the PPV king needs to sleep! Stay safe and save ur money… GN!”

What say you, Maniacs? Did Topuria drop the ball? Will UFC 298 do better PPV numbers than UFC 299?

Let’s discuss!
