Ilia Topuria’s family members lost their minds when he captured the UFC featherweight title – and rightfully so.
Like he predicted, Topuria (15-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) dethroned Alexander Volkanovski by knockout in Saturday’s UFC 298 main event at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Hailing from Georgia, Topuria’s family watched him realize his dream. Their real-time reaction to his title-winning knockout went from shock to thrill as they jumped up and down in celebration.

Representing both Georgia and Spain, Topuria’s charge has led the UFC to put Spain in its 2024 plans. Topuria has gotten support from superstar athletes such as Rafael Nadal and Sergio Ramos, as well as the official Real Madrid soccer team account, which boasts more than 150 million followers.
