BKFC Knuckle Mania 4 card announced: Mike Perry vs. Thiago Alves, Bryce Hall, more

BKFC’s next tentpole event has an official headlining bout, and it features perhaps the promotion’s leading star.

Mike Perry will take on Thiago Alves in the BKFC Knuckle Mania 4 main event, promotion president David Feldman announced Wednesday on “The MMA Hour.” The bout will take place at 185 pounds.

BKFC Knuckle Mania 4 takes place April 27 at Peacock Theater in Los Angeles.

Also on the card, Ben Rothwell vs. Todd Duffee, the bareknuckle debut of former boxing champion Alfredo Angulo, the return of YouTuber Bryce Hall, and Lorenzo Hunt vs. Mick Terrill.

Feldman said other options discussed for the headliner included Perry vs. Darren Till, and Perry vs. Anthony Pettis. However, the promotion ultimately landed on Alves.

Perry, 32, crossed over from the UFC to BKFC in 2021. He’s currently 4-0 in the promotion with wins over Julian Lane, Michael Page, Luke Rockhold, and Eddie Alvarez. In August, he signed a multi-fight deal with the promotion with the Alvarez bout on it.

Alves, 40, is 2-0 in BKFC, with his most recent victory a 2021 win over Ulysses Diaz. Alves serves as one of the head coaches for American Top Team, the gym that served as his home base for much of his 27-fight UFC tenure.

Rothwell and Duffee are also UFC alumni. They were scheduled to fight in December, but Rothwell withdrew due to illness. Rothwell is 2-0 in BKFC. Duffee has yet to debut.

A former WBO interim light middleweight champion, Angulo crosses over into the world of bareknuckle for his first since 2020. His opponent has yet to be decided.

YouTube influencer Hall returns for his third combat sports appearance, his second under the BKFC banner. In his BKFC debut in August, Hall defeated then-undefeated bareknuckle boxer Gee Perez by TKO due to injury.
