Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jamahal Hill did not spend much time weeping over his UFC 300 knockout loss to reigning 205-pound kingpin Alex Pereira, quickly calling for a rebound fight against ex-division titleholder Jiri Prochazka. “Sweet Dreams” later tweeted that he was “waiting for the paperwork to come through.”

Prochazka has other plans.

“I like to fight for the title,” Prochazka told The MMA Hour. “Especially after the decision in New York. The fact I won the fight last Saturday, that’s the only thing I feel right now. That’s what my management is working on. I am [confident]. As soon as possible. If that will be for the title with Alex, I am open to take the date in Brazil, like in two weeks. If there will be another date, let’s see.”

Prochazka was stopped by Pereira at UFC 295 last year in New York.

“BJP” was able to recapture his place atop the 205-pound rankings with a second-round technical knockout finish over Aleksandar Rakic at UFC 300 last weekend in Las Vegas and is hoping his mildly controversial finish against Pereira will be enough to secure the next crack at the light heavyweight crown.

That would require him to leapfrog this top contender.
