Garcia Chugs A Beer, Stares Down Fired-Up Haney

WBC Super Lightweight Champion Devin Haney came face-to-face with bitter rival Ryan Garcia at the conclusion of the official weigh ins (get full results and video here). Haney and Garcia are just one day away from their 12-round showdown on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV), taking place tomorrow night (Sat., April 20, 2024) at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Why not celebrate with a beer?

Garcia missed weight (badly) and will not be eligible to win Haney’s title.

“Ryan will see that I’m on a different level, I’m levels above him,” Haney said at the final press conference (watch it here). “I see it being an early night. I don’t see Ryan being able to go the full 12 with me. His antics will give up on him, it will show. All this bullsh*t will show. There’s no secrets in boxing. I’m mentally strong. I got that tunnel vision, so it was what it was. Whatever it was gonna be, it was gonna be. I said I’m chasing greatness, I want to be a great. So Ryan is just another opponent on the list.”
